Regarding the agenda of the event: LP
will make an analytical presentation of
the project, with emphasis on the
networking tools that are developed.
P6 will make presentations regarding
a) the managerial plan for water in the
water district of Epirus (GR05), b) the
irrigation practice in Epirus and c) the
organisations that are involved in
irrigation water management (probably
in cooperation with the Region of
Epirus). P2 will make a presentation
regarding irrigation issues in the
Region of Western Greece. The Italian
partners (P3, P4 and P5) will make a)
a brief presentation of their
organisations, b) a presentation
regarding water, irrigation and
drainage policy in Italy and the typical
organisation of irrigation schemes in
Puglia (including data for irrigation
water management, consumption,
pricing etc).

P3 has already begun the survey in
Puglia and they expect to complete it
as scheduled.
Progress of WP5
Irrigation management
tools
The submission period to the school
contest for meteorological station
installation which was organised in the
framework of the UN's World Water
Day 2014 and the WMO's World
Meteorological Day 2014 by P6 and
LP has finished. The number of
contributions was more than initially
expected and the final selection is
expected to be completed during the
WP5 meeting that will be held at Arta
during June (see below).
The special WP5 project meeting (Del.
5.1.1) will be held at TEIEP (Arta, on
24/6/2014) and will be organised by
LP. It will be an open event were
public authorities and organisations
related to water and irrigation,
irrigation management authorities,
NGO's, agricultural cooperations,
farmers groups, private companies
etc) are expected to form the majority
of the audience.
Regarding the agenda of the event: LP
will make a) a general presentation of
the project, b) an analytical
presentation of the irrigation system's
audit procedure that is developed in
the framework of the project and c) a
presentation regarding the irrigation
advices system that is developed for
the plain of Arta. P6 will make a
presentation
regarding
the
meteorological stations network that
will be installed in the plain of Arta in
order to provide data to the irrigation
advices system. Regione di Puglia
(P5, Italy) will make a presentation
regarding the operating system of
Assoco di Puglia and the upgrading
plans for it in the framework of IRMA.
Another
presentation
regarding
innovative relevant systems in Italy will
also be made.

Specialized research
actions
All partners that are involved in
research actions (P3-INEA, P4-
ISPA/CNR and LP-TEIEP) have
already begun the 2014 period
experiments.
