Introduction
The IRMA project aims to develop
efficient irrigation management tools
for agricultural cultivations and urban
landscapes. It is funded by the
European Regional Development
Fund (ERDF) and National Funds of
Greece and Italy in the framework of
the European Territorial Cooperation
Programme

The project’s total budget is
1.398.874,50€ and the implementation
period is 24 months, starting from April
2013.
The current newsletter presents the
progress of the project's actions during
the 18
th
month of the implementation
period (September 2014).
Problems happen but we work hard to
solve them and if we succeed we
become stronger. It's the struggle of
life, we love it!
Three members of LP team where
elected in very significant positions:
Professor Kittas Constantinos,
of the University of Thessaly
became permanent member of
the
Hellenic
Agricultural
Academy
Professor
Koutsogiannis
Demetrios of the National
Technical University of Athens
became
dean
of
the
Polytechnic Faculty of NTUA
.
Dr.
Barouchas
Pantelis,
patented an innovative portable
instrument for total calcium
carbonate soil testing and
presented
it

World
Congress of Soil Science, June
8-13, 2014 – Jeju, KOREA.
Their success is reflected also in IRMA
project and we wish them every
success.
IRLA2014 (Patras / Greece from 26 to

2014,
