Ecological management of rain
water at Thessaloniki
The municipality of Thessaloniki (the
second bigger city of Greece, 1M
residents) decided to participate in the
2M€, Life (2014-2020) project
«Ecological Rain Water management
in Urban Areas. Demonstration
Projects in Thessaloniki Area,
Greece» (LIFE Thessomvros). The
proposal has been submitted by the
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and
among the goals of the project is the
design and construction and study of a
series of rain gardens. Good luck
