Progress of WP4 Survey
of irrigation practice
The survey for Apulia has been
completed regarding the field activities
and now the relevant data are
analyzed. Soon the report will be
available.
In Greece there is great delay
regarding the implementation of this
action in both involved regions.

Irrigation audits
In Greece (LP) is at the stage of
analyzing the field data. Soon the
relevant report will be ready and
audited and recommendations will be
available for all audited systems.
Partners P4 (ISPA/CNR) and P6
(ROP) started the preparation of the
auditing procedures in Italy. In this
framework a training session has been
organised during the second week of
December at Bari.
Web irrigation advices system
LP will soon present the first version of
the irrigation data and advices system
for the plain of Arta, Greece.
P6, ROEDM begun the final stage
regarding
the
selection
of
meteorological stations locations.

Specialized research
actions
Most of the experimental work has
been completed and now all involved
partners are in the phase of writing the
relevant technical reports from which
research papers are expected to
result.

TEIEP the brand new UMP-1 BT Plus.
This high tech soil moisture sensor
can be buried in the ground in order to
avoid vandalism and has an internal
data logger so it can be used
autonomously. Data are transmitted
using Bluetooth to an Android
application so they can be visualized
and processed. A smartphone or tablet
is needed to set operation parameters,
read and process data.
The contact with market stakeholders
and the evaluation of innovative smart
technologies which can be used for
irrigation management is of great
interest for IRMA R&D partners.
