Irrigation management
tools
The General Organisation of Land
Reclamation of the plain of Arta, the
Subregional Directorate for Agricultural
Economy of Arta and the Agricultural
Cooperation of Arta have cooperated
with LP for the listing of interest by
individuals and companies which
intent to host meteorological stations
in the plain of Arta. This approach (the
hosting of stations in private fields)
was suggested by the Laboratory of
Meteorology of the University of
Ioannina (Prof. A. Bartzokas) as it was
successfully implemented in the
framework of RiskMed project.
The position of each station was
theoretically pointed during the
preparation of the project and now 2-5
candidates have already registered for
each station.
P6 has prepared the procurement text
for the supply and installation of the
meteorological stations network and
will soon publish it.
LP develops the system (software)
using data from 4 automatic stations
that are operating in the area (2 of
TEIEP and 2 of the National
Observatory of Athens).

Specialized research
actions
All partners that are involved in
research actions (P3-INEA, P4-
ISPA/CNR and LP-TEIEP) have
already begun the 2014 period
experiments.

regarding irrigation management for
greenhouse cultivatiobs using sensors.
Experiments regarding evaluation of
various sensors for irrigation management
in landscape projects.
Photos from the experiments are
uploaded reguraly at both Google+
and Facebook pages of the project.
